Defenders: Jack Clisby (Wanderers) - Just edged the excellent Michael Zullo. Clisby has been critical for the attacking strategy at Wanderers in March. Got up and down the left with boundless energy to create numerous chances in this his breakthrough season.

Taylor Regan (Reds) - Rewarded for his full-blooded commitment and leadership with a longer term contract. "Reegs" has been one of the reasons why the Reds are finishing the season on a high.

Robbie Cornthwaite (Wanderers) - Suddenly, the Wanderers defence has a settled look. And with the experience of Cornthwaite they have a real leader. He's even scoring goals again!

Midfield: Roly Bonevacia (Phoenix) - In late February, he was left out of the side for breaching team discipline (with two other players). Hasn't Des Buckingham turned Roly's season around. Roly's revival has mirrored Phoenix's as their flickering hopes of the six remain.

Milos Ninkovic (Sydney FC) - Do we really need to explain? Utter class, week in, week out.

Thomas Broich (Roar) - Has made a mockery of his veteran status with a royal month in which the talismanic Teutonic maestro showed again why many believe him to be the greatest ever to play in this league. Don't retire, Thomas!

Brendon Santalab (Wanderers) - Like Broich, just gets better with age. Absolutely crucial over the last month as the Wanderers turned their season around.

Coach of the month: Tony Popovic (Wanderers) - Undefeated in March and, as predicted by “Popa”, his boys are peaking at just the right time for a Finals Series push.
